About Me

My name is Mr. Jones, and I have been teaching at Brassfield Elementary since 2015.  I was raised in Buffalo, NY, where I lived for 20 years.  As a native of Buffalo, I am a huge Bills and Sabres fan.  After high school, I attended SUNY Cortland, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Upon graduation, I was offered an opportunity to serve as a graduate assistant coach on the swim team at North Carolina State University.  Naturally this was an opportunity that I could not pass up, and allowed me to earn my Master's Degree in Special Education.  When I was done, I started teaching 5th grade at Leesville Elementary in 2010.   I currently live with my wife, daughter Nora, and 2 rescue dogs.  In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, ride my bike, do wood work, landscape, and be active.
